Google is trialing a lightweight Search app on Android with some users in Indonesia, that should work better than the default tool on slow mobile networks. Samsung Might Be Making the First Smartphone That Can Tell if You’re Drunk

Samsung’s ssnlf new smartphones may be able to test a user’s blood alcohol content while they’re having a chat on the phone, using a new stylus that has reportedly just been patented. Citing a company official, the Korea Times reports that the S Pen stylus, an accessory that comes with Samsung’s Note series smartphones, can be used as a microphone for phone conversations while it is testing alcohol levels. In den USA wird deshalb ein Batterierückruf beim Modell Galaxy Note 4 veranlasst, wie der Konzern am Donnerstag bestätigte. Mit dem Debakel um brennende Akkus beim Pannen-Smartphone Galaxy Note 7, wegen dem im vergangenen Jahr eine weltweite Rückruf-Aktion gestartet werden musste, ist der Fall allerdings nicht zu vergleichen. Diesmal sind nur gut 10.000 Akkus von US-Kunden betroffen, die ihre Smartphones zwischen Dezember 2016 und April 2017 vom Mobilfunker AT&T erhalten hatten.
